Jennifer is our office manager. She handles all inquiries and responds within 24 business hours. She will help pair you with the therapist that best matches your needs, gather your information in order to verify your insurance benefits, and schedule your initial session.
We are in-network with some major insurance plans including Cigna and Horizon BCBS. However, we work with any insurance company that has out of network benefits. Whether you have in network or out of network benefits we will verify your coverage and submit claims directly to your insurance company on your behalf. We will collect only your copay/coinsurance up front and collect the rest from your insurance company. Your up front cost may not be as much as you think. Please contact Jennifer, the Office Manager, at (732) 453-4265 to find out what your benefits will cover.
We can provide a free 15 minute phone consultation with your potential therapist.
The purpose of the first session is for your therapist to get to know you and for you to get to know your therapist. Your therapist will ask you questions about your concerns and goals, and go over any policies that need to be explained. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
At first, we recommend meeting with your therapist at least once a week. This will help you to develop a trusting relationship with your therapist which is important to your progress.
We do not prescribe medicine.
We currently accept cash, personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and HSA cards
We hold our clients accountable for their self-care and therefore we charge the full amount of the session if you cancel your appointment for any non-emergency reason. If there is a conflict in your schedule that is not an emergency, we urge you to discuss this with your therapist so you can plan together. Your mental well-being is a priority!
Each therapist is different and structures the sessions in their own way. You can expect a follow up from last session, follow up about any assignments you were given, questions about the progress of your symptoms, support and interventions for whatever issue you bring to therapy that day. Sessions are guided by you.
Many people report feeling relief after the 1st session but it can also take several sessions before seeing any changes.
We offer virtual sessions and in person sessions.
Our office is sanitized after each session. Masks are required in common areas at all times. Appointment times are staggered to avoid multiple people in the waiting area at one time. Therapists are at least 6 feet from you during session. Wearing masks during session is an option and should be discussed with your therapist.
